MMA Certified Instructors

We are proud of our instructors! Not only have they have passed through our rigorous certification process, but they are fun, talented people who have dedicated their time to teaching others the joy of making music.

We hire instructors all over Middle TN with a variety of backgrounds and experiences to work for MMA. Most are full-time instructors with a college degree, teaching various styles and techniques. We have instructors who are active professional musicians as well as some who have dedicated their lives to music education. What is most important to us is that they are teachers! Anyone can give a music lesson but only a teacher can help unleash the musician inside.
Even though they may teach different subjects and live in different cities, our instructors share in our passion for helping students live their dreams by learning to sing or play an instrument.

Certification process

An MMA instructor passes through a rigorous process designed to filter out all but the best instructors. In fact, we accept less than 10% of teachers who apply. Our certification process includes the following steps:

•    Completed a application including educational history, references, and teaching experience
•    Thorough personal interview to understand their personality, desire to help students succeed, styles and ages they feel comfortable teaching, and their fit for the program
•    Criminal background check
•    Ongoing training on how to understand our students' goals and help them succeed
•    Feedback from existing MMA students regarding their teaching ability and personality
